Bernardo Gomes de Almeida

At the age of 18 he decided to study Cinema, Television and Film Advertising.
With more than 19 years of experience in the audiovisual area in Cinema, Television Fiction and Advertising with 1st Directing Assistant and Casting Direction.
He directed the short films “Por Linhas Tortas”, “Weakest Part”, “Projecto V” (Winner of the Best Film Award PFShortfest), “Contacts 2.0” (Official Selection MotelX 2014, Monthly Winner Shortcutz Xpress Viseu and Shortcutz Xpress Faro).
In 2015 he directed the short film “MARTA” (“Golden Slate” – Best Film at Arouca Film Festival, Best National Fiction Leiria FilmFest, Monthly Winner Shortcutz Porto and Shortcutz Faro, 2nd Best Film FICSAM 2015, Best Acting Arouca Film Festival, Best Actress Planos Film Festival, Best Actress FICI 2015) and the short film “MOS”.
Between 2016 and 2017 he directs “Bride” and “ODE”.
In 2021 he writes and directs his latest film, “Das Duas Uma”, currently on the festival circuit.
In addition to directing films, he also writes screenplays, with some projects already in pre-production for the current year.
