
Diogo Oliveira
Diogo dos Santos Oliveira was born in 1999.
From a very young age he began to develop a taste for cinema.
One day, after watching Mulholland Drive, he decided that cinema would be his future.
He studied Cinema and Audiovisual at the Escola Superior Artística do Porto and was part of the One Year Filmmaking program at ESCAC in Barcelona.
During this period he experimented in different fields of filmmaking, with emphasis on sound and editing, but found his passion in directing.
Inspired by Lynch and Fellini, Diogo has a passion for creating atmospheres using everything at his disposal.
During his stay in Barcelona, he discovered his pleasure in working with actors and focused on strengthening his skills as a director.
Carrete is his second of three short films that he wrote and directed during his time in Barcelona.
