Joana Imaginário

Joana has a master’s degree in Sculpture from the Fine Arts University of Lisbon.
She directed the short animated films “Mulher Sombra” (Shadow Woman), in 2012, and “Tocadora” (Player), in 2017.
In 2015, she co-founded, with Francisco Lança, the cultural association Arte Estúdio Imaginário (AEI), with the aim of promoting and producing art and culture in the area of Mafra in Portugal.
She is the co-creative director of the Mafra Animated Film Festival – Manifest.
She teaches art and works in animation scenery and art direction.
The animated short film “A Casa Para Guardar o Tempo” it’s her last work.
