Patrícia Maciel
Patrícia Maciel (1981) graduated in Business Communication and completed her studies with a post-graduation in Dance and Performing Arts.
In 2009 she writes and directs her first short film Auf den zweiten Blick (At second Glance) 6’ in Berlin, Germany, where she lived for six years.
In 2010 she joins ICoFF – International Comedy Film Festival, where worked as Head of the Short Film Program.
For the same Berlin independent film festival she was working on the Retrospective Program showing the work of the Filmmaker John Walters.
Also she co-wrote and directed 17 promotional web episodes for ICoFF.
In 2011 she joins the Wolfang Pfeiffer Screenwriting School in Berlin for an intensive screenwriting course.
In Lisbon, 2014 takes part in a research program “Body of Words” with the choreographer Victor Hugo Pontes in Olga Roriz Company.
Still in 2014, Patrícia Maciel does a Post-Graduation in Dance and Performing Arts in c.e.m, Lisbon.
In 2015 she works as a Film Art Director for “Vícios para uma Família Feliz”, the first short film directed by the Portuguese screenwriter, Tiago R. Santos.
Since 2013, Patrícia Maciel is developing the script about Ana Lara’s life. Based on a true story, her second short film Moscatro (2018) shows an episode of that same project.
