Filipe Ruffato

Filmmaker and screenwriter, he was born in Juiz de Fora (Brazil, 1982). He holds a BA in Social Communication – Journalism (FAGOC – Ubá) and a Master’s degree in Cinematographic Studies (ULHT – Lisbon). He took the Filmmaking LAB Course, DocLisboa´17 and the VR Guerrilha Filmaking Course, 2017. He participated in the project “Looking China” 2018.

In 2019 there are 3 films participating in festivals; “Swimming class”, Short film winning the Shortcutz Festival in Lisbon; “The Yangtze finless porpoise”, documentary present at the Shortcutz Figueira da Foz Festival; and the documentary “Volta à Portugal em 80 horas”, present at the Lisbon Motorcycle Film Festival.
